I started this blog in an attempt to improve my photography and keep me motivated once I returned home from my travels. It's easy to take photos and stay inspired when you are travelling and seeing new things and places everyday, it is however another thing once you return to 'normal life'.
So far this blog has not working in keeping my photography going while home in normal life, I have been home a week and taken zero photos. The reason for taking no photos I could associate to many things, but they are just excuses - there are many things to picture in England - I need to try harder.
Although I have taken no photos in the last week I have been editing many from my latest trip around South America. A panoramic shot became a favourite shot of mine during the trip, so here is a selection of my panoramas.

Machu Picchu at Sunrise
|
Obviously Machu Picchu was one of the highlight of the trip, watching the sunrise and clear the mist surrounding Wayna Picchu was a magical moment. The whole place felt calm and as though everyone there were the first people to ever see Machu Picchu.

Colca Canyon - Peru
The Colca Canyon is one of the deepest canyons in the world (twice as deep as the Grand Canyon). I found it particularly hard to photograph and capture its size. This panoramic shot is one of my favourites from taken there.

La Paz - Bolivia
The highest capital in the world, but far from being the prettiest. I took this shot from the roof of my hostel, there is a slight problem in the sky where photoshop stitched the pictures together. La Paz sits in a bowl filled to the brim with buildings, an impressive sight from above but not so much once you are in the middle of it all.

Lago Puelo - Argentina
The Lake District in Argentina is one of the most beautiful areas I have seen, the combination of lakes and snow capped mountains it hard to beat. Lago Puelo is near

Lake Nahuel Huapi - Bariloche - Argentina
I must have taken well over a hundred pictures while walking the short circuit around Lake Nahuel Huapi, at each corner the scenery seemed to improve. This was our lunch spot for the day and despite the sunny looking weather it was freezing. The wind whips over the lake freezing any exposed skin.
Next task is to take a panoramic shot in England, hopefully one show the beautiful autumn colours filling the trees at this time of year.
ciao.
